9z delivers a sensation as they demolish Team Vitality
Teamwork is dreamwork the best team won the match today where 9z showed Europe that they are ready.
Team Vitality was favorites before the game against the South American 9z, but 9z wouldn’t go down, the roster kept fighting and secured a big upset as they managed to beat Vitality.
On the server with the Frenchmen was the South American qualifier 9z. The team is on their first trip to Europe and was not deemed many chances before the match, but they overcame any doubt there was beforehand.
9z picked Nuke as the first battleground. Here Vitality pumped up the pace, which left 9z in dire straits. A 12-3 half was a rough start for the South Americans. Only Santino 'try' Rigal was keeping up with Vitality with some impressive rounds.
In the second half 9z seemed to have adjusted to the gameplay, and actually won 6-4, which gave some hopes before Overpass.
The odds were against them though. Vitality gave 1.0001 in odds to win, but in a dramatic turn of events, 9z did the unthinkable. This time both Maximiliano 'max' Gonzalez and Santino 'try' Rigal excelled, and forced the match to the third map after a 16-11 win on Overpass.
An absolute ridiculous start from 9z gave them a 9-0 lead against the mighty Vitality and had secured themselves a big advantage in the last map on Inferno. 9z´s max was playing fantastic in this map, taking difficult spots and winning his open-fire fights. At halftime, the scoreline was 13-2 to 9z, and the map and match seemed over for Vitality. The map ended 16-12 as Vitality got beaten by fantastic teamwork by 9z.
