FURIA and 9z qualifies for Major
FURIA is ready to compete for the Major on home turf.
The first Brazilian team has now qualified for the upcoming IEM Rio Major.
To no surprise, it was FURIA who took down their countrymen from paiN. A strong CT side on Nuke made the difference on the first map for FURIA, who went on to win their own map pick of Vertigo after a closely contested second map. AWPer Rafael 'saffee' Costa once again topped the scoreboard with a 50-31 K-D score.
paiN is now in the 2-2 bracket, and will have one more chance to try and qualify.

9z also qualified after an excellent RMR campaign. A 16-2, 16-7 victory against ATK underlined the exciting prospect, that the young South Americans have shown during the event. The Uruguayan, Brazilian, Chilian, and Argentinan roster has taken down 00NATION and Imperial along the way, while only narrowly losing to Evil Geniuses yesterday.
Both FURIA and 9z will enter the IEM Rio at the Challenger Stage.
