In the lower bracket semifinal, it was do or die time for Complexity and FaZe, after both teams lost their respective match yesterday night.
On Nuke the two teams started by trading rounds, but as the match progressed it was clear, that Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke had one of those nights. The Danish riffler went 30-16 with a 124 ADR on Nuke. Fellow Dane Benjamin “blameF” Bremer followed up with a +11 K/D-ratio to complete the Danish dominance from the two Complexity-players.
Complexity won the map comfortably with 16-9.
The momentum of Nuke carried over to FaZe’s map pick Mirage.
From the CT-side Complexity, annihilated FaZe going 10-0! While the two Danes were still putting in numbers, it was poizon who stole the spotlight. The Bulgarian AWPer was at one point 21-3 in K/D-ratio in the match. The first half ended 12-3.
A major comeback was on the horizon after the break. FaZe managed to reduce the lead and were catching up with Complexity during their CT-side. Coldzera was instrumental in the assault on Complexity. It was all or nothing for FaZe.
In the end, the big deficit from the first half was too big for FaZe to catch up on. It ended 16-12 to Complexity, who will now advance to the Consolidation Final against BIG tomorrow.
