Complexity open BLAST with a 2-1 victory over FaZe
In coldzera’s debut, Complexity has advanced to the Group C upper bracket final after beating Faze in a two-map series.
In the earlier match, NaVi got their victory against OG with 2-1 in the BLAST Group C opener. The winners from ESL Pro League were the favorites and were quickly the leading team at the first map on Overpass. It was only a matter of whether OG would be able to avoid the pressure from the Russians, as they completely dominated the first map. A different story unfolded on Dust 2 as valde and company stepped up and managed to pick up the second map, Dust 2, make it to a third map. The decider was Mirage, and unfortunately, OG could not perform the way they produced on Dust2. However, s1mple’s troops were just too strong for OG and NaVi clinched a clean win with a solid performance to lock down the series. The Russian squad has won eight of their last nine series.

With a 2-0 victory over FaZe, Complexity secured their spot at the upper bracket final against NaVi on Saturday. They proved that perhaps we can begin to expect more from them once again with coldzera on their roster. In just two maps the European of Complexity managed to shut down FaZe Clan and secure their first victory of the event.
The action started on Complexity’s map pick with Inferno and took early the control of T half, managing to stay ahead of FaZe after losing the pistol with a 4-1 lead. Slowly but surely FaZe got back into the series and even put a dent in Complexity’s economy, but poizon’s troops were able to strike back to command an 8-7 lead. They continued to increase their lead, taking Nuke with a convincing 8-16 scoreline.
That brought us to the pick of FaZe on Ancient, and it was again an even first half. Complexity started on the CT side, winning the pistol and converting, but FaZe Clan managed to gain control and pegged them back with three rounds in a row. Eventually, Complexity found the formula to punish the FaZe approach, closing the half with a slight 8-7 advantage. A thrilling second half ensued, with both teams taking turns leading the series and had their momentum. Broky with the X factor strung together three rounds in a row, but Complexity kept finding gaps to secure overtime. With Complexity on the CT side, the Faze Clan had their work cut for them, and Complexity took matters into their own hands. Complexity only dropped one round in the OT and closing out the map 19-16 to wrap up the series.
