Cloud9 defeats Complexity in three-map thriller!
In a highly entertaining match between the “Colossus” and the “Juggernaut”, Cloud9 made a major comeback to win.
It was fast-paced action from start until the end at the most anticipated match of the day at BLAST Premier Showdown Fall. A place in the Semi-Finals was at stake in the match between Cloud9 and Complexity.
The two rivals faced each other for the first time with the current rosters.
On Nuke Cloud9 started best securing a solid 10-5 lead at the break. On their map pick, the newly formed roster lost momentum on their CT-side. Complexity managed to turn the match around with blameF in charge. The Danish in-game leader was instrumental in the big comeback and led his team to a 16-13 win.
Though the “Juggernaut” initially continued their momentum on Mirage, Cloud9 showed up and matched the roster of Complexity. Alex “ALEX” McMeekin even outshined his Danish IGL counterpart by going 20/15 in K/D-ratio. A good performance by the Englishman, who saw his team winning comfortably 16-8.
The decider map was Dust2. A map that the new roster of Cloud9 had not played a match on competitively yet. It also took them half a map to find themselves. Complexity took a 10-5 lead at halftime.
On their CT-side, Cloud9 looked a lot better. Again ALEX showed the way by being the top fragger for the roster, who fought their way back to 14-14. And spectacularly, the Cloud9 team made a remarkable comeback to take down the "Juggernaut" and win the match 16-14.
Cloud9 will play mousesports tomorrow in the Semi-Finals at BLAST Premier Showdown Fall.
