GamerLegion took on Cloud9 in, winner advances to IEM Rio Major 2022 Legends stage, and the losing team is eliminated.
Both teams were 2-2 going into this final match. Overpass was the first map being played in this intense qualifying game. Cloud9 started out on the T side as they picked the map. Coming out pressing the speeder was the mixed team from GamerLegion, who really found themself playing some great CS in the first half, winning 11-4 on the CT side.
GamerLegion took the second-half pistol which put them in a great spot to take the first map, but Cloud9 forced up and stopped the winning streak from happening, as they won 8 rounds in a row. Winning only two rounds on the T side GamerLegion could see Cloud9 run away with the game, winning 13-16.
Mirage was picked by GamerLegion as they had recently been playing some great Mirage matches. Starting out on the T side GamerLegion and siuhy was held in the game by some outstanding round wins by iM and isak.
Although the close first half siuhy and Keoz didn't manage to find the style of play that they would have hoped for on the CT side. On the other side, sh1ro and HObbit was the dominant factor for Cloud9 going into the late rounds. Despite a tied game at 13-13, Cloud9 was the team to close out Mirage and advance to the Legends stage.
