Can NAVI bounce back?
After a 2-0 loss yesterday against Virtus.pro, NAVI sees themselves in a tough but manageable position in the group stages of IEM New York CIS.
After the defeat yesterday, NAVI has the opportunity to bounce back when they play against the strong and promising forZe team. It’s an important match for NAVI and their further advancement in the tournament. With a loss against forZe, NAVI will lose their playoff spot with only one round to retaliate.
NAVI has for many years been one of the heavy hitters in CS:GO, and are undoubtedly the best team in the CIS region. This means that NAVI always will be the favorite when there is a regional tournament as IEM New York CIS. But the gap to the secondary CIS teams can quickly be reduced, with young and promising teams like Spirit, forZe, Gambit and Virtus.pro climbing the rankings making numerous and more continuously good results.
But for now, is NAVI still the big brother of CIS Counter-Strike, which they probably will continue to be as long as they have their superstar in S1mple and the dangerous firepower in the likes of electronic and Perfecto.
