Brazilian team announce plans to move to North America
9z will move to NA sometime in 2021 and join their Brazilian colleagues FURIA, paiN, oNe, and Yeah.
The CEO of 9z has announced that the organization’s CS:GO team is set to move to North America sometime in 2021. In the announcement on Twitter, Francisco “Frankkaster” Postiglione said the team’s goal is to seek a place in MDL and then qualify for ESL Pro League as their main goal.
9z with an Argentinian-Uruguayan lineup is currently ranked as the tenth best team in South America and recently finished in second place at Gamers Club Masters VI and Aorus League 2020 Season 4. While the majority of the lineup is likely unknown to NA fans, the team’s IGL Bruno “bit” Lima is a well-regarded name in CS, having been a part of the legendary 1.6 MIBR lineup.
The South American organization acquired Ignacio “meyern” Meyer from MIBR in June but ended up moving him to the bench before the end of the year. The 18-year-old Argentine player is currently open to offers and has revealed that he will become a dedicated AWPer in 2021.
