Vitality beat fnatic to qualify for the IEM Katowice playoffs!

Vitality took upon fnatic in the Group B upper bracket semi-final. The winning team will go to Spodek arena where they will play for the IEM Katowice 2023 trophy.

Starting the series off on Overpass Vitality came out as the best team in the first half. A great half on the CT side gave VItality a 10-5 lead. The mixed European team led by William 'mezii' Merriman fought their way back to a close game but stumble in the end. Vitality took overpass 16-13.

Switching over to Mirage once again ZywOo and co. found their footing in the first three rounds as they converted the pistol round. However, what looked like a strong T side from Vitality ended up being a dominant CT side by fnatic who closed down their opponents to give themselves a 12-3 lead at halftime. Vitality stood no chance against fnatic despite Mirage being their own map pick. fnatic took map two 16-8.

To decide the series the two teams had to fight tooth and nail in the last map of the series Nuke. A close atmosphere where both teams got rounds back and forth. With the CT side in the back Vitality can be glad to reach six rounds on the T side. Switching to the CT side, Vitality found early success as their secured the pistol round and the following two to give themselves an even scoreline at 9-9. Vitality closed out the game in the end by taking great initiative and controlling the map. 16-13 on Nuke in Favor of Vitality.
