Vitality take down FalleN and company
The Frenchmen are through the upper bracket and have set themselves up with a match against Astralis in the upper final.
Vitality took down Liquid 2-0 in the upper semi-finals at BLAST Premier Global Final and are now through to the upper final where they will be taking on the Danish giants from Astralis, while FalleN and company will have to fight for survival in the lower bracket against Evil Geniuses in an elimination game.
It wasn’t a walk in the park for the Frenchmen in tonight’s matchup. The action started on Nuke which ended up being really intense. Liquid were off to the best start and looked strong as they stormed to a 6-9 lead on their T-side. But as the teams switched site, Vitality took the pistol round and won 4 rounds afterward, making it hard for Liquid to build up their economy. A heroic call from Vitality’s captain secured them the victory in the last round of the map, denying Liquid to take Nuke into overtime.
On Vertigo, Vitality’s map pick, shox lit up the server. But the world’s best was the one who opened up the action with a quad-kill in the pistol round, helping his team into an early lead. As the teams switched side with the scoreboard being 9-6 to Vitality, the Frenchmen kept a strong defense and didn’t give any mistakes away that could result in a comeback for the North Americans.

MVP of the series:
Richard “shox” Papillon was off to a slow start on Nuke but picked himself up on Vertigo where he delivered the best performance in the server and ended up shining on the scoreboard.
Overall: 49-32 K/D | 94.1 ADR | 73.7% KAST | 1.33 rating
Highlight of the match:
ZywOo has 1HP after the first kill and doesn’t fall back or fade away. The Frenchman takes the fights, gets into a 1v2 at the end, and still clutches by reading the situation perfectly.
