Vitality out of IEM Rio!
The number one team in the world came short against ENCE.
Another pre-tournament favorite is not going to be present at the Championship Stage in Rio. Vitality lost to ENCE 2-0.
A brawl was on the cards with either one of Vitality or ENCE leaving IEM Rio after their fourth-round encounter.
The match kickstarted on Vertigo with a huge performance from ENCE’s AWP’er Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia. The Spanish sniper dropped 35 kills on Vitality’s map pick to give ENCE a big push to a 16-12 win.
On Nuke Vitality made it 9-6 as CT’s before ENCE started to heat up. Again, SunPayus was a menace for Vitality during the map. The French/Danish roster came very close to securing the map, but in a one vs one situation, Paweł "dycha" Dycha got the best of Magisk to force the match to overtime.
Here ENCE won the first four rounds to secure the game and will stay alive at IEM Rio. Vitality is out of the competition.
