Thorin: Heroic should buy device and let cadiaN rifle instead

Could you imagine the former Astralis AWPer in a Heroic jersey?

Nicolai “device” Reedtz has been out of action for the entire 2022 season so far, with the Danish superstar sitting on the bench at NIP due to personal reasons. Radio silence from both the Swedish organization and device himself has meant that speculations and rumors about his future are flying around in the CS:GO community.

Duncan “Thorin” Shields, a renowned expert and broadcast talent, has touched on the topic in the latest edition of Revenge of By the Numbers. Here Thorin discusses how Heroic would benefit greatly from buying device.

The best Danish team is Heroic, so why isn’t dev1ce joining Heroic?, Thorin asks and continues: They [Heroic] need a f*cking AWPer. This is how boring fans are, Semmler. They all just go: “yeah but cadiaN is the AWPer”

Engage your brain, why do they not just swap roles and let him be the IGL. I don’t get that. You don’t think cadiaN could frag at the level of a support player and just be the IGL – off course he could. He might even be one of the better fragging IGL’s with the rifle. His problem right now is that he’s not a good enough AWPer.

(…) so, the point is if they bring in device, cadiaN’s one weakness will go out of the window. Immediately, the team becomes really dangerous. Imagine their team with device, f*cking stavn, TeSeS and cadiaN as a supportive IGL. I would do that move tomorrow. Surely even cadiaN would say yes to that.

Heroic is currently:

Casper "cadiaN" Møller
