The story of ScreaM: The One Tap God
From Counter-Strike icon to outcast - the beast that was never unleashed
There are many different types of professional Counter-Strike players. There is the mastermind who is calling the shots and strategizing, the support player who is always good for a popflash, and then there are players such as Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom. Players that have an unbelievable amount of mechanical skill, allowing them to take, seemingly, impossible duels and still coming out on top.
The 27-year-old rifler from Belgium started his journey in the professional CS:GO scene at a French team called Verygames. The team quickly rose to the top and became one of the most prominent rosters in the early stages of CS:GO. Later Richard "shox" Papillon joined Verygames and the dynamic duo of "ScreaM" and "shox" seemed almost unplayable.
However, despite his undeniable skillset and ability to hit one-taps, the rest of his career wasn't as eventful as one would have imagined. Whilst he had proven himself to be one of his time's best aimers he didn't come to be a part of the upcoming big French teams and was left behind. Whilst players such as his partner in crime "shox" established a French CS:GO empire he never really found a home.
Despite not being at the forefront of the professional Counter-Strike scene, as he was under Verygames, "ScreaM" continued to produce phenomenal highlights, cementing himself as one the most iconic Counter-Strike players in the history of CS:GO. Take a look at some of his best moments down below:
Ultimately he made the choice to switch over to Valorant where he currently plays for Team Liquid. At the relatively young age of 27-years-old, however, perhaps one day we will get to see him clicking heads on Counter-Strike turf once again.
