Smooya announces free agency: I'm open for offers in both CS:GO and Valorant
The former BIG AWPer is officially out of his contract with Movistar Riders, as he may switch to Valorant in the future.
Owen “smooya” Butterfield is no longer tied with Movistar Riders as he enters free agency, the Brit reveals on Twitter. The news comes after a two-month period, where the profiled AWPer has been inactive for the Spanish team, owing to his benching back in mid-August.
In a statement, smooya opens about the departure from the Spaniards and how he's grateful for being released to get the opportunity to find a new team. Furthermore, the 22-year-old reveals that he's open for a switch to the rival FPS shooter, Valorant.
- Today I'm being released from my Movistar contract making me an unrestricted Free Agent. Thank you so so much to Movistar Riders for our time together and for taking this step to help progress my career. (…) For myself this means I'm now a Free Agent and will be open to all offers coming from EU/NA for both CSGO and Valorant, smooya writes in a Twitlonger.
