FURIA and Team Liquid ready for playoffs at ESL Pro League
The two teams follow Cloud9 into the final stage of the tournament from Group D.
Four out of six teams had everything to play for on the last day of ESL Pro League Group D.
For both FURIA and Team Liquid the mission was clear. Win, and they would advance to the next stage no matter what. Against the undefeated Cloud9, Team Liquid had to dig deep to get the result, they needed. It took a masterclass from Mareks 'YEKINDAR' Gaļinskis to get the win on Overpass to seal the victory for Team Liquid with the Latvian putting up 41 kills during the 19-17 win after overtime.
FURIA took down Evil Geniuses after two-second halves on both maps, where the Brazilians were in control. Again it was Kaike 'KSCERATO' Cerato, who continued his impressive performances at ESL Pro League with another impactful performance that saw FURIA win 2-0. KSCERATO is now the second highest player of all the groups with a 1.41 rating!
In the last match, Eternal Fire won 2-0 against Movistar Riders, but the win proved to be in vain with Team Liquid winning their match.
Group D ends with Cloud9, FURIA, and Team Liquid making it through to the playoffs.
