Counter-Strike pros and experts give their take on the best AWP'er of all time
Perhaps the most iconic weapon in Counter-Strike history, next to the AK-47 and M4A4, is the AWP. Allowing its user to scope in on the enemies and granting a one-shot kill if a shot is hit makes the AWP a weapon of destruction in the right hands. But exactly which hands have been the deadliest with the "big green"? Is it "s1mple" the Ukrainian superstar, "device" Mr. Consistent himself, or perhaps "FalleN" a man whose game sense is perhaps even greater than his mechanical skill?
Well if you ask CS:GO commentator and expert Semmler the answer is neither of the three above mentioned. For him the greatest AWP'er of all time is the French legend Kenny "kennyS" Schrub:
"The best AWP'er of all time has got to be kennyS. And just the peaks, the pure unadulterated talent that was in Kenny, what he was capable of doing and utterly taking over games. You can see shadows of it in "s1mple" and "ZywOo" today, they are certainly insane players, but for my money, it has to be Kenny and what he was capable of doing with the AWP".
"kennyS" is currently inactive as a Counter-Strike professional, but has been on top of his game for many years. With a Major win, as well as a Major MVP under his belt, he is certainly one of the greatest players to have ever touched the game of Counter-Strike.
