OT drama after an insane comeback sends Heroic through

The Danes faced off the Russian-side from Spirit in tonight’s matchup for a spot in the playoffs. Heroic won the series 2-0 after a good first map on Mirage (16-9) where all the players from the Danish-side delivered an excellent performance, but also on Nuke (28-26) after an insane comeback and overtime drama.

Heroic started off slow on the second map of the series as they couldn’t break through Spirit’s defense and that resulted in a 1-11 lead to Spirit, but the Danes began to slowly wake up after halftime. The Danes managed to perform an insane comeback which took the team into four overtimes and constant back-and-forth play before closing the series out.

Martin “stavn” Lund was the best player on the server with a 1.33 rating, 90.6 ADR, and a 72-53 score. He will look forward to playing in the playoffs with the rest of the squad, while Spirit will take on Cloud9 on Thursday at 13:00 (CEST) in the lower bracket of the tournament.
