NIP won in a close match against FunPlus Phoenix
NIP delivered a great performance against the European organization and won after overtime on Inferno.
The first map was on Mirage, where the Swedish roster delivered a near-perfect performance as the T side in the first half.
The new roster delivered what seemed to be the best performance by NIP with device in the roster, it has been a shaky start from device career at NIP, but this can be the turning point for the roster.
They played fantastic in the first half as the T side, and they managed to win the first half 10-5 and got themselves a great start before the second half on Mirage, where they would be the CT side.
FunPlus Phoenix managed to come back in the game, but they never came even close to winning on Mirage as NIP won six of the thirteen rounds in the second half, therefore the map ended 16-12 on the well-known roster.
The second map was on Inferno, The Swedish team performed fantastically at Mirage, but they came out weak on Inferno.
device´s troops got themselves a harsh start at Inferno as they were behind after the first half, FunPlus Phoenix won the first half 9-6 as the T side, as they couldn’t contain the offense of the T side.
NIP managed to get back in the second half, after a great comeback as the T side, their offense was very strong as they managed to push back FunPlus´s defensive line.
The game went in overtime, as the game ended 15-15. And the Swedish team ended up pulling the longest straw in overtime, as they won 19-17.
Therefore, the victory was certain for NIP, who played a great game, if you don’t look at the first half on Inferno.
