NAVI ran over Germans at BLAST Spring Finals
Despite an unexpected curveball, BIG could not handle a well-playing NAVI roster.
BIG is developing into a very unpredictable team. The Germans have lost some strange matches in 2021, but the former number one in the world has also taken big scalps, including their victory yesterday against G2.
Today was no different. First, they started by being humiliated on their own map pick. On Dust2, Natus Vincere annihilated BIG 16-2!
And then the match went on to Inferno. Yes, Inferno. BIG's usual map veto. A map that they had last played in March, where they lost to Endpoint. A map that they had lost six times in a row on. It was here, that the Germans had to catch up on NAVI to force the match to Mirage for the decider.
And of course BIG all of sudden showed up. While s1mple, and Boombl4 multiple times could be seen with their hand buried in their faces, BIG stole the show. XANTARES was let loose, and the Turkish rifler did not disappoint. At 11-6, it looked like, that we had to go for the third map for a decider, but then in typically BIG fashion, they fell apart again. NAVI clutched in the final rounds to seal the deal and take the victory.
