nafany: We’re not just kids who want to play on the big stage
Can we expect a more competitive Cloud9 side at the IEM Rio Major?
The youngsters from Cloud9 have a lot to prove at the upcoming Major tournament in Rio de Janeiro. At PGL Major Antwerp back in May, the CIS squad disappointed massively with an unsatisfactory 12th-14th spot after losing to the likes of Imperial and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
In a video on Cloud9’s YouTube channel, in-game leader and captain Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov touch on the mediocre result, but also what he hopes the team will present at the Rio Major.
At the recent Major, it was just an awful result for us, and it was obvious that we and everyone else had other expectations for us. I guess it’s one of the worst tournaments we ever have had. I mean, not so painful because we know a lot of things about why it happened – but still painful.
I believe at IEM Rio Major we will show everyone that we are not just kids who want to play on the big stage. You have a lot of things that you don’t really want to feel again, but usually that feeling will make you stronger.
