It's revenge time when Liquid takes upon Vitality at the IEM Katowice Quarter-final.
Liquid took down the former IEM Katowice champions FaZe in their last match at the event and Vitality lost their first game in seven matches when they lost to Heroic. When looking at their last head-to-head meetings, Liquid and Vitality met twice during the 2022 season. Both times Vitality came out victorious, first at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and most recently in ESL Pro League Season 16 when the two teams played each other in the final. During the ESL Pro League Season 16, Vitality took down Liquid in a five-map thriller to walk home with the trophy.
It's hard to predict the outcome of the match, as both Liquid and Vitality will go into the match with great confidence. Most recently Liquid has shown that they can perform at a high level after they took down FaZe in a great 2-1 victory. However, It's fair to say that Vitality has the upper hand going into the matchup against Liquid. We believe at Pley.gg that Vitality will continue its run at IEM Katowice and stop Liquid from making another upset. The match will be close but with Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut playing lights-out at the moment, we don't see Liquid taking the win here.
