Liquid secure a spot in the upper final!
The North American squad have booked a ticket to the Upper final in Group B following a victory over the Frenchmen from Vitality.
Team Liquid are through to the Group B upper final in IEM Katowice following a victory over ZywOo and company in the upper semi-finals. The North American team now await the winner of the match between NAVI and FURIA, while apEX’s troops will fight for survival against Virtus.pro in the lower bracket.

The action started on Liquid’s map pick of Nuke where the Frenchmen came out on top and secured a 19-16 victory in overtime. Vitality’s captain delivered a 33-bomb and carried his team to get the best start to the series.
Liquid answered back and tied up the series 1-1 by taking Vitality’s map pick of Vertigo, where the North American squad were in control throughout the whole game. This time it was Liquid’s Brazilian captain who led the charge for his team, delivering 14 frags with the AWP and put on a dominant CT-side performance that made it hard for Vitality to execute on A site.
FalleN’s troops secured the series victory on Mirage, in a game where both teams put on a great fight and followed each other most of the time. EliGE delivered 28 important frags to his team and played a big part in denying Vitality to make a comeback.
