The North American squad have passed their first test in the showpiece event with style as they managed to take down FaZe for the first time since Twistzz’ arrival. Mirage: 16-11 | EliGE – 1.51 Rating | 95.3 ADR | 24-16 K/D
Nuke: 16-6 | FalleN – 2.11 Rating | 126.0 ADR | 29-7 K/D
Liquid made a dream start to the series as they cruised to a 7-0 lead on the T-side of Mirage, but FaZe didn’t give up too soon as they lowered their deficit to only one round before halftime. The second half saw Liquid in control as FaZe lacked solutions on their T-side to break through the North American defense. A strong playing EliGE helped his team to draw the first blood in the series as they closed out the map 16-11.
On Nuke which isn’t quite FalleN’s most favorable map, the Brazilian captain had 20 kills, 4 deaths, and 130.0 ADR after 15 rounds of play. Even though his troops were off to a slow start, they managed to find their footing and close out the map 16-6 in a very controlled manner to wrap up the series 2-0.
