Heroic wins three-map thriller at ESL Pro League
The Danes are off to a flying start with their new roster after a 2-1 victory against BIG.
After two 2-0 matches today at ESL Pro League, we finally got a match that went all the way. The setup for the match was perfect. BIG had their eyes on revenge from last night's defeat to OG, while Heroic looked to extend their good start with their new roster.
Both teams started their own map picks by creating a huge gap at the break. On Nuke, Heroic was 13-2 up, while BIG took command on Mirage 11-4. Both teams finished off the maps. Vertigo was left as the decider.
Heroic got the best start. On their CT-side, they managed to take the lead 9-6 at halftime, which gave them the momentum to finish off BIG with 16-10. A promising performance from the Heroic side, who could see their two new players Rasmus 'sjuush' Beck and Ismail 'refrezh' Ali performing well on Vertigo.
There is now a long way for BIG, if they want to qualify for the playoffs, while Heroic looks destined to move on after two wins.
BIG - Heroic 1-2 (12-16, 16-7, 10-16)
