Heroic vs. G2 thriller go the way of the Danes
The pistol rounds were devastating for G2!
The Internationals of G2 and the Danes Heroic clashed in the day's opening match. Both teams were 1-1 before the match and were now looking for their second win.
The Bo1, which took place on Vertigo, started out well for "stavn" and the CTs of Heroic who went up 5-1. "huNter-" soon found impact, and with the Heroic squad struggling to win retake scenarios, G2 quickly found their way back into the game. Heroic led by one round at halftime.
Right out of halftime, Heroic extended their lead to four. The smiles on the faces of the Danes soon turned to frowns as G2 armed with rifles, and "m0NESY" with his AWP, strung together seven rounds. Heroic found their way back, and with nothing separating the two sides the match went to OT.
It looked great for G2 who won the first two rounds of OT, but with four back-to-back rounds, Heroic came in and snatched away the victory.
With the win, Heroic are now 2-1, while G2 move to the elimination side of the bracket.
