Heroic takes down Swedish Ninjas - Danish Derby awaits
Astralis and Heroic will face each other in the Consolidation Final tonight.
In one of the more odd CS:GO-matches in the DreamHack-series, Heroic took a 2-1 victory against NIP. A Danish Derby awaits tonight, when Heroic will play Astralis for a place in the Grand Final.
The two teams won their opponent's map pick in superior style. NIP took down Vertigo 16-8, while the Danes thrashed the Swedes 16-3 on Train.
Overpass was left as the deciding map. And for the first time in the match, the scoreline kept going back and forth.
Martin "stavn" Lund continued his great form going +25 in K/D-ratio on the first two maps. The 18-year old Rifler has had a fantastic tournament and was without a doubt the key player for Heroic in the match.
On Overpass the in-form Dane started slowly, but when Heroic began their CT-side, stavn took off. Heroic won six maps in a row after the break to go 13-8, and was able to finish the Swedes off 16-11.
stavn ended the match with a +33 K/D-ratio.
Astralis and Heroic will play each other at 20.00 CEST tonight.
