Heroic storms through ECSTATIC at Pinnacle Winter Series
The Danes are ready for the Grand Final tonight.
Heroic had to work hard in the end, to secure the victory against their fellow Danes from ECSTATIC at Pinnacle Winter Series 3.
The current number five in the world has been invited to the playoffs at the tournament. Yesterday they destroyed Apeks only losing six rounds in total, while the bashing continued today on Overpass. ECSTATIC only managed to win five rounds on the first map.
Vertigo was from the get-go a much more interesting map to watch. Heroic rarely play Vertigo, while ECSTATIC has the map as one of their favorites. And that did show. ECSTATIC was much more competitive and won the first half 9-6 after a good start to the map.
Heroic fought back immediately in the second half to equalize the score. Heroic's T-side looked a lot sharper with round 26 as a prime example. Here in-game leader Casper "cadiaN" Møller completely fooled everybody (including the casters) with a fake A-site attack, which caused the entire ECSTATIC team to rotate to the A-site, while Heroic planted on the B-site.
In the end, it got very close on Vertigo. It was only in the second overtime round, that Heroic managed to fight off ECSTATIC to win the match.
Heroic will face the winner of Copenhagen Flames vs SKADE later tonight in the Grand Final.
