Gambit takes home one more title after sweeping NAVI in Grand Final
sh1ro and company got their revenge against their fellow CIS titans, after getting swept in DH Masters Spring Grand Final.
The Russian prodigies from Gambit has grabbed yet another big title here in 2021, as they seal the BLAST Premier Spring Final trophy this Sunday evening. The world #1 team took down the big scalp of NAVI in the Grand Final, who didn’t stand a chance against the likes of Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov and Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov.
The profiled CIS brawl began on the iconic Dust2, where we saw Gambit present an unstoppable offense, with a near-perfect T-side which gave them a favourable 10-5 lead before going into the switch. NAVI stepped up in the second half, however, it wasn’t enough, as Gambit succeed to steal NAVI’s map pick.
Going into the second map on Mirage, NAVI’s chances looked quite small, owing to Gambit’s outstanding track record on the map. With that being said - When Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is on the server, anything can happen.
The comeback for NAVI was buried by sh1ro and his powerful AWP through a dominant individual performance on Mirage, presenting an impressive Rating / ADR. The match ends 2-0 to Gambit after two confident displays on Dust2 and Mirage, which gives them their fifth big title in 2021.
