G2 owner: ropz didn't fit into the system
Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago commented on G2's transfer window in a podcast with HLTV.
Robin "ropz" Kool was one of the hottest transfer targets in the winter after his departure from MOUZ was announced. The Estonian ended up joining FaZe, but rumors had also linked him to G2.
Yesterday the owner of G2, Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago, spoke about the possibility of ropz joining G2 when he was the guest of HLTV's Confirmed show on Twitch.
- He was on our radar. But he does not fit into our system. We would have to change literally everything because he would have to either play a role he was not comfortable with or we would have to change two people (NiKo and Hunter-) for him to fit into his role. So that is the problem, the G2 owner told.
Carlos also revealed that he tried to buy Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut from Team Vitality at some point, but was not able to get the deal done due to Team Vitality having "too much money and too little brain", as the Spaniard so eloquently phrased it.
