G2 finish off disappointing EPL campaign with a 2-0 win
It was G2 side in top form that took on NIP this evening – unfortunately for them, it was too late.
There wasn’t much to play for tonight when G2 and NIP squared up against each other in the last round of Group A at ESL Pro League Season 15. The Swedes from NIP had already secured themselves the #1 spot in the group after four consecutive wins, while G2 on the other had no chance for qualifying for the playoffs.
Despite the lacklustre event and the fact that they have played without their IGL, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen for ¾ matches, G2 still found the necessary energy and motivation to take down Hampus “hampus” Poser this Sunday evening.
Already early in the series, it stood clear that NIP had nothing to play for. However, the same couldn’t be said about G2, which looked like a team that had a point to prove. With a splendid performance, led by the older Kovac cousin in huNter-, G2 steamrolled over NIP on Vertigo setting the final score at 16-4.
Aleksib and company finished off the job on their own map pick of Inferno, where huNter yet again presented some magnificent Counter-Strike.
