FaZe is the fourth team to ever complete the Intel Grand Slam.
FaZe's road to victory in Intel Grand Slam Season 4 was a long and impressive journey, but the mixed European team led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen finally achieved their goal after a year of hard work and determination. FaZe became the fourth team in CS:GO history to win four Big Events organized by ESL during a period of ten consecutive events that included IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, and the ESL Pro League.
FaZe's journey to the prestige full list began in 2022 when they won three of their four titles: IEM Katowice, ESL Pro League Season 15, and IEM Cologne. However, they failed to win the remaining three qualifying events, which meant they had to win one of their next three tournaments to secure the prize. With G2 securing the IEM Katowice 2023, the pressure was on FaZe as they only left with two tournaments to reach the milestone which only Astralis, Natus Vincere, and Liquid have managed to pull off.
Their chance finally came at the ESL Pro League Season 17 final where they had to play against Cloud9. FaZe won 3-1 in the Grand Final to secure the Intel Grand Slam Season 4 prize. Twistzz, who had won the title before, was trying his absolute best to get FaZe across the line. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken scored the highest rating and an ace in the final map, Ancient.
FaZe's victory in Intel Grand Slam Season 4 was particularly significant because they were the first international team with players from different countries to win the title. They also left behind strong competitors such as Cloud9 and Natus Vincere.
