FaZe open up their EPL with a win

In the earlier match, NAVI got the Victory against Fnatic and won their first match in the tournament. In two maps NAVI was the better team and got a comfortable win over their competitors in the group. The new Fnatic roster posed a challenge to NAVI but lost to a good performance by NAVI. It ended with a 2-0 win in the favor of NAVI. The champions of IEM Cologne wasted no time and showing the rest of the group why they are the best in the world.

The next match in group C was FaZe vs mousesports in a 3-map game.

The action started on mousesports pick on Overpass, where they delivered a good start and won their pistol round where ropz dropped 3 kills. Mousesports showed a good offensively to run up a 1-4 advantage, but FaZe quickly answered back and made it 4-4 before the teams started trading rounds. Eventually, the half ended 7-8 in the favor of FaZe. The second half started with FaZe taking the pistol round and kept their momentum. Mousesports managed to win 6 rounds in a row and almost made a magnificent comeback before broky with 3 kills and closed out the map 16-14 in the favor of FaZe.

Ancient begun with mousesports convincingly taking the first 8 rounds on their CT side before FaZe come on the board. Even FaZe got a round, mousesports was immediately back on track and shut down both sides on the map. They went on to completely control the game and finish off the first half 12-3 in their favor. But mousesports didn’t carry over the momentum in the second half, as FaZe grabbed the first 3 rounds and broky with a quad kill. However, mousesports find themselves again and did not take their foot off the pedal and won convincingly. It ended with a 7-16 win for mousesports makes it to a final map on the deck.

On Inferno, the roles were reversed, where FaZe took the first pistol round on the attack and grabbed the next 6 rounds. acoR with a quad-kill and mousesports finally came on the scoreboard. FaZe masterfully taking control of both bombsites on their offense to take a 9-2 lead. Mousesports was giving too much space to FaZe and struggle on the retakes, which resulted in FaZe dominating the half all the way to an 11-4 lead in the first half. An ace from broky at the end of the match and went on to control the game and rip apart the mousesports team to wrap up the series. It ended 8-16 and a win for FaZe.
