f0rest: "The CIS region is incredibly strong right now"
f0rest, among other pros, gives his take on the CIS region's recent uprise
The CIS region has had an impressive 2021 season so far. There are currently 3 CIS teams within the top 10 rankings and many more seem to be improving at an impressive pace. Gambit is currently placed as the best team in the entire world with Natus Vincere behind them in second place. Many were taken by shock by the uprise of the CIS region, however not Swedish legend Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg:
"I wouldn't say I'm surprised honestly. I think the teams have seen it coming for a while through practices and the results that have been building up. The CIS region is incredibly strong right now."
The question that has been asked, when talking about the recent success of the CIS teams, is whether or not they are going to be able to continue their domination once events resume as LAN tournaments. "f0rest" is unsure, but seems confident that the CIS teams are going to be around for quite some time still:
"It's always hard to say how a team will perform on LAN, but I think for Gambit for example they are going to do fairly okay, they are boot camping every single tournament I've seen."
