Fnatic had to play IEM Dallas without Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson on the team, who was sidelined due to personal reasons. In his spot Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg stepped in to help the team, but the return of the former Major winner did not go as planned. 

Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg went -26 in K/D on the four maps of play against 9z and MOUZ. Fnatic started the day by losing to MOUZ in a best-of-one match. In the lower bracket, the Europeans lost to 9z and were knocked out of the tournament already on day 1. 

Nouns shared a similar fate losing out to G2 and FURIA.

In Group B the most notable result was the win for Astralis in their Tier-1 LAN return. The Danes took down their old rivals from Team Liquid after a superb performance from Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz and Alexander "Altekz" Givskov.

There is $100.000 on the line for the winner of IEM Dallas plus an invitation for IEM Cologne.

Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg is still a very capable Counter-Strike player! The 34-year-old Swede is currently without a team, but luckily for us, he is still streaming CS:GO.

Last night he was playing against some of the best young players in the game in Evgeniy "Aunkere" Karyat, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, and Danyyl "headtr1ck" Valitov with his team of Swedish legends such as GeT_RiGhT, olofmeister, and friberg.

On Anubis, the Swedes were off to a flying start going 4-0 up. But in round five everything seemed to have gone wrong for the Swedes leaving f0rest in a 1vs5 situation...

Unfortunately, f0rest and his team of Swedish legends ended up losing the match 16-13.

However, these two region/countries are also some of the cornerstones of Counter-Strike having both played a huge role throughout the entire history of the game - also before the birth of CS:GO, with many of the above-mentioned players being former Counter-Strike 1.6 superstars.

The Swedish Counter-Strike legend Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg has turned 34 this year and is currently without a team. But does f0rest still have what it takes to compete on the biggest stage of CS:GO?

If you ask the CS:GO expert and analyst, Jacob "Pimp" Winneche the answer is crystal clear.

Pimp mentioned G2 as an example where he could see f0rest fit in and play for.

-Imagine if you’re m0NESY in G2 and you’re on track to become one of the greatest players in CS:GO – imagine if you have f0rest next to you – imagine if he was the guy they brought in instead of jks. I think that would have worked out well for G2 as well.

- Put me in FaZe and I’m certain I would perform at a level that shock people. I’m not done [playing tier-1 CS:GO]. I don’t think that people have explored what is possible within Counter-Strike, this is just the beginning. If you have Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] and [Cristiano] Ronaldo running around at 36-37, there is no stopping me neither.

- Hopefully, I am given the opportunity for one last ride. Because I’m not satisfied with how it ended with Dignitas or NIP. (...) The legend himself Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg is back with yet another insane play. The 34-year-old NIP, Dignitas legend is currently playing as a stand-in for ex-finest doing a tournament.

The legend rifler won the ESL One Cologne back in 2014 with his former legendary team Ninjas In Pyjamas. f0rest was four times called out by the HLTV top 20 player of the world, back in 2013 at #2, in 2014 at #4, in 2015 at #16, and in 2016 at #7. Even though the legend has retired from playing, the 34-year-old is still doing impressive plays on the server, which we all have to admire for as long as f0rest plays this game.

The old Ninjas In Pyjamas legend is not done in competitive Counter-Strike yet, as he will be replacing Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson for the Svenska Cup which is being held from Oct. 14 to 16. Svenska Cup is a $46,900 tournament, f0rest and ex-Finest will be playing against teams such as Ninjas In Pyjamas, EYEBALLERS, Lilmix, PROSPECTS, Kappa Bar.

ex-Finest lost the support of Finest after the  Israeli organization recently decided to stop all Esports operations as they lost some of their investors. The 34-year-old Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg has been out of competitive cs since June 2022 after Dignitas released their CS:GO roster. f0rest will be making the comeback to play with one of his old friends Simon "twist" Eliasson who currently is the IGL of the ex-Finest team.

The Swedish Counter-Strike Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg turned 34 years old earlier this year. However, that doesn't stop him from still wanting to compete at the very highest level of CS:GO. 

f0rest is currently a free agent after he and the rest of Dignitas were released back in June 2022 after a lackluster period for the Scandinavian squad. The Swedish CS legend is keeping himself warm on FACEIT, where he is showing off some of his impressive skills. This time it is with the Scout, where he plays an excellent anchor on the A-site.

Today’s #POTD is delivered by Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, who managed to deliver a superb performance in a pistol round. The enemy team is pushing A site and in all chaos, f0rest delivers four impressive kills.

The 34-year-old Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg is currently without a team. After 2 years at Dignitas, he made his exit in mid-June 2022. In the last 3 months, f0rest has been averaging 0.84 Rating 2.0 and 0.58 kills per round, which also led to his current state with no team. What and where f0rest will be in the future, is still to be announced but for now he is a free agent.

If you have played matchmaking you have probably experienced that a player on either your team or your opponents' team has left the match. Whilst it is a poor replacement for an actual player, CS:GO makes sure that you are not playing the rest of the game as four players and adds a 'bot' to the team that has lost a player. Unless you take control of the bot after a player on your team dies, the bot is more often than not completely useless and no threat to your opponents whatsoever. 

Sometimes, however, the unthinkable happens and a player will have to sit back in shame and watch the rest of the round after being killed by a bot. Not only is this a rarity when 'normal' players face a bot in their lobbies, but when you're a former professional player of the highest caliber you have some explaining to do. The very rare and funny instance happened for Swedish CS:GO legend "GeT_RiGhT" when playing with former teammate "f0rest" - take a look: 

There is little as fun as when someone that isn't yourself gets killed by a bot in CS:GO. After "GeT_RiGhT" was killed by the bot, "f0rest" could not stop laughing and we don't blame him. Take a look at how funny it was from the perspective of fellow countryman "f0rest": 

When Patrick “f0rest” Lindberg decides to hang up his mouse he will without of doubt be remembered as one of Counter-Strike’s greatest players. However, it doesn’t look like the veteran Swede has thought about quitting in the near future, despite turning 34 on this very date.

His CS:GO colleague and opponent yesterday, Casper “cadiaN” Møller also had some very flattering words for the Fnatic stand-in.  

In the post-match interview cadiaN also discussed the struggle some second-half on Overpass, where Heroic nearly dropped a 15-6 lead due to "rookie mistakes" from the Danes.

This week Fnatic announced the first signings of their rebuild with the transfer of Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen and Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi. However, the Swedes didn’t manage to find a fifth member before the start of Pinnacle Cup Championships, which meant that Patrick “f0rest”Lindberg had to stand in at the $250.000 event.

Here Fnatic and f0rest were able to take down the favorites from Heroic in the opening round. Afterward, f0rest gave an interview discussing the new Fnatic squad.

The legendary Swede Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg has been confirmed as a temporary stand-in for Fnatic at the upcoming Pinnacle Cup Championship taking place in Lund, Sweden. The 33-year-old veteran is set to replace an undisclosed trial player, which have “fallen ill at bootcamp”, Patrik “cArn” Sättermon states on [link:{"url":"https://twitter.com/cArn/status/1534100538563907586","isNewTab":true,"text":"Twitter"}].

f0rest and the rest of Fnatic will begin their campaign at Pinnacle Cup Championship tomorrow at 10:30 (CET), where they will go up against the strong Danes from Heroic.

Whilst the iconic NiP roster that defined the first era of CS:GO will all go down as legends of the scene, there is one player in particular that has impressed fans from across the world, and still does to this day. That man is, of course, the Swedish rifler Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg. After having served the Ninjas in Pyjamas for over 7 years he joined the Scandinavian roster of Dignitas and is still clicking heads, despite being 33 years of age. 

Whilst there are undoubtedly many names that pop up when thinking about iconic CS:GO players, there is no one that has managed to accumulate as many recorded kills throughout the years as "f0rest". After yesterday's matches with Dignitas, the Swede managed to collect his kill number 40.000 as the first-ever player in CS:GO's history. 

It is unsure as to how long the Swedish superstar will remain in the professional Counter-Strike scene, however, one thing is for sure - there is no one like "f0rest".
