ENCE qualify for the MAJOR

The first map of the series was to be played on Mirage, picked by G2. NiKo and company got off to a good start taking a 3-0 lead before ENCE started to answer back by stringing together three rounds. Slowly but surely ENCE got back into the series and even put a dent in G2’s economy to take the lead, but G2 still managed to strike back and close the gap, 8-7 in favor of ENCE. They kept their momentum at the second half, winning the pistol and converting. ENCE continued to increase their lead all the way to cleanly sweeping their G2 foes, taking Mirage with a convincing 16-8 scoreline.

Nuke proved to be a lot more one-sided compared to the first map as G2 put up an impassable defense and going on an eight-round winning streak to close their CT side 13-2. All G2 had to do in the second half of Nuke was to finish what they had started. Despite a better start from ENCE, it wasn’t enough to make a comeback. G2 proved to be too strong as they ran away with a 16-7 victory in the end.

The third and final map was set to be played on Dust 2. ENCE began to showcase their CT side masterclass and took control of the half, storming to a 7-2 lead. G2 was left looking stranded on their T side with little to do against the defense of ENCE. A dominating first-half performance meant a 10-5 lead for the European squad from ENCE going into the second half. In the second half, ENCE once again started things off on the right foot, winning the pistol, but G2 quickly bounced back to win the force buy. G2 managed to keep themselves in the match with a string of rounds towards the end of the half, closing the gap to their opponents 15-12 before securing overtime. Overtime went back-and-forth with both teams had their moment, even going into double OT. In the end, it was ultimately ENCE to take home Dust 2 at 18-22.
