Two great first halves set both paiN Gaming and Imperial up for success in the bo1 matches against ENCE and Apeks.

On Overpass, Imperial and Apeks crossed paths with the former coming in hot after two good games on Day 1. The Brazilians continued to impress with a stellar CT side giving themselves a 9-3 lead onto the difficult T side on Overpass. Here Apeks immediately won four rounds to make the game competitive, but then Imperial finally broke through in round 17 and finished off Apeks 13-7.

paiN Gaming found themselves 10-2 up after a Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt masterclass! The Brazilian rifler finished the first 12 rounds with an impressive 20-3 K-D score against ENCE, who had a mountain to climb. The moods of the Polish/Danish roster didn’t improve after losing the all-important pistol round. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander clutched a 1vs2 situation to give his team an extra chance to make a comeback. But ENCE could not stop the Brazilians, who ran away with a solid 13-3 victory to move up to the 2-1 bracket. For ENCE the match once again displayed the poor form from the supposed star player Paweł "dycha" Dycha.

The four teams will be back on the server tomorrow, where Imperial and paiN will play their first qualification matches, while Apeks and ENCE has to win the next two bo3 matches to qualify for the next stage.

Two of the best teams of 2023 will go head to head in the first playoff match at IEM Katowice.

FaZe will take on G2, who defeated Heroic in the last match of the Group phase of the tournament. Now Spodek Arena awaits the defending champions, who are aiming at revenge from their last rendezvous at BLAST World Finals in December 2023. 

In the second quarter-final, Paweł "dycha" Dycha will take on his old teammates, Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer, Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García, Pavle "⁠Maden⁠" Bošković, as ENCE faces Falcons. A matchup that looks spicy on paper!

Cloud9 have secured their spot in the upper quarter-finals of the IEM Katowice 2023 Play-in Stage with a dominant 16-5 victory over IHC in the opening round of Bo1’s. Ax1Le and company dominated the first half on Mirage, ending it with an 11-4 lead, and closed out the game in the second half, only allowing IHC to pick up one round.

Led by Ax1Le, Cloud9 will now face off against ENCE, who defeated paiN on the other stream to secure their quarter-final spot. The quarter-final between Cloud9 and ENCE will take place today at 16:00 (CET).

IHC and paiN will have to battle their way out of the Lower bracket on Thursday at 19:30 (CET) for another chance to advance in the tournament.

ENCE took on Endpoint doing the last quarter-final at CCT North Europe Series 2. Coming in surprisingly was Endpoint who played well doing the first map on Vertigo. Suddenly the map pick from ENCE looked like a victory for Endpoint. Going into overtime, the mixed British team took the win and the 2-0 socreline away from ENCE. 20-22 was the scoreline when Endpoint shocked ENCE and the CSGO community. 

ENCE saw themselves coming down 0-1 after the first map, but then a 25-year-old Polish Rifler took things into his own hands and played a stunning second and third map. Paweł "dycha" Dycha single-handedly took down an entire team from Endpoint doing the last two maps of the series. With dycha popping off like a maniac, ENCE took the second map 16-7 and the third map 16-5.

On Vertigo it quickly became evident, that the Frenchmen from Falcons had no good solutions on the T-side against ENCE. A 12-3 lead saw ENCE only needing four rounds on their T-side to win the match, which happened in the 22nd round. 

ENCE's riflers Paweł 'dycha' Dycha, Valdemar 'valde' Bjørn Vangså, and Pavle 'Maden' Bošković all had a field day on the map with ratings above 1.41. 

After a lackluster ESL Pro League, ENCE has now set their eyes on qualifying for a legend spot tomorrow at the RMR tournament, where they will be matched with another team from Group B with a 2-0 score.

A team that, alongside Natus Vincere and FaZe, has proven themselves to be one of the strongest rosters currently in the world of professional CS:GO is ENCE. "Snappi" and his troops have put fear into their opponents and made sure that everyone knows what ENCE is capable of, no matter the opponent. A team that, unlike ENCE, isn't performing as well as you would expect them to, is the French-Danish roster of Vitality. The two locked horns in a battle for a spot in the upper bracket of Group A. Whilst ENCE were the favorites going into the brawl between the two sides, the Vitality boys seemed to have stepped their game up and played incredibly well. Whilst it took all three maps it was ultimately Vitality to claim victory and secure a great start to their run at IEM Cologne 2022. 

The first map of the Bo3-series took place on Nuke and was picked by ENCE. Having played the map a total of 17 times in the past three months and managed to win 71% of their matches on Nuke, it is safe to say that ENCE are to be feared on Nuke. Starting on the CT-side, however, it didn't seem as if Vitality were scared of ENCE, not one bit. A rock-solid defense from the Vitality side saw the French and Danish combination earn an impressive 12-3 lead before switching sides. The advantage as CT's on Nuke became apparent once the two teams had switched sides. Playing far better than in the first half of Nuke, ENCE managed to claw back a handful of rounds from the get-go. Ultimately, however, it was all too little too late for "Snappi" and his troops to make a comeback. At 16-10, Vitality avoided the ENCE comeback and claimed victory on Nuke. 

The second map of the brawl between Vitality and ENCE took place on Dust 2 and was, of course, picked by Vitality. Known as a map where the individuals of a given roster can have great influence and freedom, it seemed the perfect map for "ZywOo" to get into things in the Bo3-series, after a quiet Nuke. Instead, it was ENCE to come flying out of the gate this time. A great start to their CT-side saw ENCE secure a 5-0 lead before a single round was won by Vitality. The theme of a strong CT-sided performance from either team continued as ENCE were able to close out the first half of Dust 2 at the scoreline of 11-4. Vitality, spearheaded by a "ZywOo" on fire, did everything in their power to come back against ENCE, however, it was too late. At 16-12 ENCE closed out Dust 2 and forced a third and final map of the Bo3-series. 

The third and final map of the series was set to take place on Mirage, yet another map where individuals can create room for the entire team with their individual heroics alone. A "ZywOo" of fire proved, however, proved inadequate on Dust 2 and Vitality would need more members of their star-studded roster to step up if they were to have a chance against ENCE on Mirage. That was exactly the case as all five members of Vitality came flying out of the gate on their T-sided half of Mirage. With every member stepping up to the plate, Vitality managed to secure an impressive 12-3 lead going into the second half of Mirage. All Vitality had to do was to finish what they had started in the first half and they did exactly that. Despite ENCE managing to claw back some rounds and make the scoreline somewhat respectable it was the Vitality boys to claim victory at 16-7 and secure a great start to their run at IEM Cologne 2022.

After seeing FaZe and Spirit secure their spots in the semis yesterday, ENCE and Copenhagen Flames now had to try to do the same. When the two faced each other earlier in the tournament the Flames took a dominant 16-8 victory in a Bo1, but things would not go as smoothly for the Danes this time.

The Bo3 kicked off on the Flames' pick of Vertigo, where the Danes looked solid to start. They were getting entries and had good spacing on the map, but at the scoreline 3-3 their T side started going down the drain. ENCE completely shut them down, and while "Spinx" was playing very well, the real story was the tremendous defensive work "dycha" did in difficult situations. This led ENCE on a nine-round streak, and to a 12-3 halftime lead.

It looked much better for the Flames as they turned to the CT side. The young duo of "Zyphon" and "jabbi" was doing some heavy lifting for the team, but the halftime deficit was too hard to overcome for the Danes and ENCE were now halfway there.

"roeJ" and "nicoodoz" who were surprisingly absent on Vertigo had a much better start to Nuke. They stepped up individually very early on and as the rest of the team soon followed suit the Flames took a 9-3 lead. ENCE found a bit of flow towards the end of the half and reduced the Danes' lead to three at halftime.

"hades", who had been the lowest-rated ENCE player at this tournament so far, woke up as his team took to the CT side. He was excellently holding down the fort in Yard and around the Garage. This was one of the major factors in what was a lockdown defensive half for ENCE where the Flames were only allowed three rounds before it was all said and done.

With the win, ENCE secure a spot in the semi-final where they will be facing the winner of the Na'Vi/Heroic matchup.

Heroic and ENCE had the chance to take a place in the playoffs as they faced each other in a Bo3. The teams arrived in this advantageous position after beating G2 and Outsiders in the 1-1 bracket.

Off the back of a ridiculous start from "TeSeS" Heroic took a massive 8-0 lead on the T side of their map pick, Overpass. As Heroic loosened their grip, "Spinx" stepped up to bat and amazingly led his team back into the lead with a ten-round streak. In the end, it came right down to the wire, and in the 30th round of play, the Danes were able to secure the victory.

Moving on to the second map of Mirage the first half was just about a repeat of Overpass'. Heroic started great but only barely held the lead at halftime as ENCE were ever vigilant.

Heroic picked up the second pistol round and another two were converted as a result, but that is when the ENCE hammer fell down upon the Danes. "Snappi" and co. ended the map on a 9-1 streak, denying everything that Heroic tried. Especially the A-site was a problem for "cadiaN"s squad as "dycha" and "Maden" performed admirably on the defense.

Nuke was the deciding map of the series, and after fifteen rounds it looked extremely grim for Heroic. The Danes started on the T side and were round after round stopped by the dynamic duo of "dycha" and "Spinx". ENCE had a dominating 12-3 lead at halftime.

Heroic did not have much to say after switching sides, and contrary to the first two maps of the series, Nuke ended up being a booming blowout at 16-6.

With the win, ENCE find their way into the playoffs, while Heroic will have one last chance tomorrow.

With Vitality already qualified for the Legends stage, the next two teams who would try to do the same were ENCE and G2. Everyone knows what the superstars of G2 are capable of, but with ENCE's recent form this was bound to be a banger!

G2 started the Bo3 with a great T-side on their map pick of Dust2. Their young star AWP'er "m0NESY", who had been a bit quiet in the opening games, caught fire and led his team to a 9-6 halftime lead.

It got even scarier for ENCE after the break as they got completely locked down by the G2 defense who only allowed "Snappi" and co. a single round.

Down by a map "Spinx" saw to it that ENCE got off on the right foot on the T-side of their pick: Ancient. With some individual heroics, the soldiers of ENCE took five rounds in succession to start the map. G2 managed to put a stop to the flurry of rounds that ENCE were finding, as star duo "huNter-" and NiKo" had had enough. ENCE held a tiny 8-7 lead at halftime.

The two contenders, by way of long winstreaks, kept going back and forth in momentum, and after 30 rounds not a single round separated the teams and the match went into OT. G2, who had found map point in regulation, were overrun in overtime as ENCE finally showed just how strong they can be on this map.

Mirage was chosen as the tiebreaker of this matchup between the world's #3 and #6, and after ending the last map on a bit of a low note, G2 started Mirage on a high one. The "Aleksib"-led squad grabbed seven of the first eight rounds but spearheaded by "dycha", ENCE clawed themselves back to a 7-8 half.

"dycha" kept up the high level after the break and secured a couple of rounds for ENCE early on, but after getting their economy broken, the team decided to force-buy several rounds in a row without any measurable success. G2 ended the map at 16-9 after a seven-round winstreak.

G2 join Vitality as the first teams to go through from the Challengers Stage, while ENCE will have to go through another Bo3 tomorrow.

A matchup of the favorites at the Challengers Stage was on the cards when the explosive ENCE ran into the patient Outsiders. Both teams had won their opening matches and were now looking to go flawless on day 1. The teams agreed that the brawl was to take place on Vertigo.

The first half was very even to start out with both teams going on small hot streaks and equalizing the score at 5-5. From that point on "dycha" and the terrorists of ENCE took over and overpowered Outsiders to the tune of 10-5 at halftime.

"Snappi" and co. kept on out-fragging the CIS squad and with a flurry of fast-paced rounds, they quickly dealt with the Outsiders and are now 2-0, while Outsiders have to work even harder as they move to the 1-1 bracket.

BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 had reached its final Bo3-series as Astralis and ENCE geared up and got ready for a thrilling brawl in the Grand Final of the event. A spot at the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 event was at stake and with both teams in-form it was difficult to predict the outcome before the brawl got underway. And close was between the two rosters. After a crushing defeat on Mirage, ENCE pulled through on both Ancient and Nuke and managed to take down the Danes of Astralis in what became a close three-map-thriller. The 2-1 victory against Astralis means that "Snappi" and his troops have secured themselves a spot at the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 event. 

The first map of the Bo3-series was picked by ENCE and saw the brawl kick off on Mirage. The sandy map of Mirage is the most played map out of all maps in CS:GO's history, between the top 30 teams, and to say that both teams are familiar with Mirage would be an understatement. Despite being the map pick of ENCE, it was Astralis to start the strongest on Mirage. A strong and cohesive defense from the CT-sided Astralis, with "blameF" wreaking havoc in middle, proved too difficult for ENCE to break through and Astralis were able to go to halftime at the impressive scoreline of 12-3. After switching sides, ENCE would have to do something absolutely spectacular in order to get back into Mirage. The spectacular never happened and instead, it was Astralis to finish what they had started on their CT-side with absolute domination. Without letting ENCE win a single round in the second half of Mirage, the Danes claimed the first map of the brawl at the scoreline of 16-3. 

The second map of the series was picked by Astralis and to nobody's surprise, it meant a trip to the jungle. With a phenomenal win rate of 79% in the past three months (14 maps), the Danes have become more than accustomed to Ancient as one of their strongest picks in the official map pool, if not the strongest. Whilst it has, at times, seemed almost impossible to take down Astralis and "k0nfig" on Ancient, it was ENCE to hit the ground running on their CT-side and secure an early lead against the Danes. It took until the scoreboard said 7-0 in favor of ENCE for the Astralis boys to wake up and secure their first round on Ancient. Slowly but surely, the Danes managed to pick up a handful of rounds and a somewhat respectable T-sided half at the scoreline of 10-5. The second half saw Astralis try to catch back up with ENCE on the arguably favorable CT side. Ultimately, ENCE had secured too big of a lead for Astralis to catch back up and Ancient ended in favor of ENCE at 16-13. 

The third and final map of the series came to be Nuke, a map that both teams are incredibly strong on. From early on it was clear that Nuke could be anyone's map to take home as both teams seemed poised to take home the series. Starting on the CT-side, however, it was ENCE to take control of Nuke initially. Despite yet another phenomenal performance from "blameF", the Danes had to see themselves behind at halftime at the scoreline of 10-5 yet again. Just as on Ancient, Astralis fought to close the gap between themselves and ENCE, and things got very close in the end. Ultimately, however, it was once again too late for Astralis to get into the game and "Snappi" and his troops could close out the three-map-thriller and take home the series at the scoreline of 16-12.

After starting the day with two major upsets, the craziness has been laid to rest as it was the favorites that took home the victories in the last matches of Swiss round 1. 

After a solid start for Spirit, ENCE completely took over and ended the first half on a nine-round winstreak. Spirit did a better job in the second half, but it was still not enough to hold down "dycha" and the rest of ENCE.

On the other stream, we saw an almost exact replica. Sprout started off great but ended up being down by seven rounds at the half, and from there it was too hard for them to recover.

It was the clash of the two best T-sides in the first semi-final of the day at ESL Pro League Season 15 where ENCE and Ninjas in Pyjamas went head to head.

ENCE kicked off the match taking a strong 12-3 lead on their T-side. A lead that NIP could not match in the second half on Nuke. ENCE won their map pick 16-10.

NIP picked Ancient as the next battleground. A map that quickly has developed into being a favorite for the Swedes. But again it was ENCE, who took the lead at the break. At 9-6, nothing was determined, but for NIP it was a bad omen seeing their starplayer, REZ on the bottom of the scoreboard after the first 15 rounds.

On the other side of the server, Lotan "Spinx" Giladi has been one of the best players in the tournament. Today the Israeli again showcased his talents. On both Nuke and Ancient, the 21-year-old rifler was on fire giving ENCE several good opening kills. His partner in crime Paweł 'dycha' Dycha also delivered on a high level. The two of them were too much to handle for NIP. In the end it was Spinx who clutched to seal the deal for ENCE, who won the map and the match 16-14, and is now ready for tomorrow's Grand Final at ESL Pro League.

The other finalist will be found tonight in the match between FURIA and FaZe.

On Nuke it was ENCE’s in-game leader, Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer who stole the show. The Dane completely shut down saffee, drop, and KSCERATO going 22-4 against the three Brazilians in duels. The rest of the ENCE roster followed through and locked in the first map comfortably. Snappi ended the map with an impressive scoreline of 31-13 in K-D!

FURIA picked Vertigo as the second map. Here the Brazilians found a much better rhythm which saw them take the lead at the break. And despite a good start on their T-side, ENCE never managed to catch up on Rafael 'saffee' Costa and FURIA who became the only second team in the tournament to win a map from ENCE.

Mirage was picked as the decider map. Here it was ENCE in the driver’s seat. 12-5 up it looked like a clean third map win for the roster, but then FURIA started to heat up. One round took the other and suddenly the Brazilians were 15-12 up! An astonishing turnaround, that saw FURIA come out on top after a last-second defuse in the end. FURIA is now ready for the Quarter-Finals at ESL Pro League after a superb run in the group stage.

ENCE is also ready for the playoffs despite today’s loss.
