EliGE on seven map pool: We trolled from the beginning
Team Liquid’s EliGE reveals the truth about their supposed seven-map pool.
Team Liquid’s Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski recently revealed in an interview with Janko “YNk” Paunovic, Freya “Freya” Spiers, and Jack “Jacky” Peters that the supposed seven-map pool that the team had announced at the start of the season was actually just them trolling to play mind games with opponents. According to EliGE, the team never actually intended to have a seven-map pool, but they decided to run with the idea after Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis mentioned it in an interview.
EliGE went on to explain that the goal of the joke was to create a mind game for their opponents during interviews. By mentioning the seven-map pool in interview, they hoped that their opponents would be hesitant to pick a certain map, even if it was one of their preferred choices.
This revelation sheds some light on Liquid’s approach to the game and their efforts to gain an edge over their opponents. It also shows that the team has a sense of humor and isn’t afraid to have a little fun at their own expense. Regardless of their seven-map pool joke, Liquid has been performing well in recent matches and will look to continue their success in the ESL Pro League playoffs, where they have secured a spot in the Quarter-finals.
