Complexity part ways with young American
Owen “oBo” Schallet is able to pursue other options as he is out of his contract with Complexity.
After a one-and-a-half-year long tenure with the North American organization, oBo’s time has come to an end. At just the age of 15 in 2019, the young American joined Complexity’s active lineup and reached a peak in the world rankings on fifth place after securing the title at BLAST Premier Spring 2020 EU Finals.
In September of 2020, the 17-year-old decided to step back from the squad due to the COVID-19 pandemic that caused him and his team to navigate through Europe.
“I was no comfortable being so far from home during this volatile time. I never expected to live on a European team, it was one hell of a year but I couldn’t handle it anymore,” oBo wrote in a Twitlonger post back in September.

oBo averaged a 1.11 rating across 2020 and has lately hinted at the possibility of going on another long European trip. In an interview with HLTV at the end of the year, the youngster said “I will be back and competing as soon as I find the right opportunity. I am always more than willing to bootcamp and be in Europe for extended periods of time.”. The 17-year-old is a talented player and an appealing prospect for teams who are looking to upgrade their roster.
