Complexity lead the series against Fnatic after a close 19-16 victory on Inferno
The international roster Complexity edges a victory against the experienced Fnatic.
Controversially Complexity lets Fnatic pick one of, if not their best map Inferno. Instead of removing Inferno from the map pool, Complexity chose to remove the newer map Vertigo. The experienced Swedish side has had many victories on Inferno and it is definitely one of their stronger maps.
Despite Fnatic's history on Inferno, it was clear that Complexity had come to fight. In the early stages of the first half, it was difficult to separate the two teams, as they exchanged rounds back and forth. It was, however, Complexity to have the better first half of the two teams, as they saw themselves leading 9-6 as they went to halftime. The second half was just as close as the first, with both teams hungry for the win.
A victor was not to be found in the first 30 rounds, and the map continued with overtime. With Kristian "K0nfig" Wienecke on top of the leaderboard with 36 kills, it was Complexity to have the superior start to the overtime winning the first three rounds. Despite Freddy "Krimz" Johansson attempting to claw his team back with a phenomenal 4k clutch, it was ultimately Complexity to take map one on Inferno 19-16.
