Cloud9 GM responds to criticism
There was no mercy from the online keyboard warriors after Cloud9 crashed out of the DH Masters Spring qualifiers.
It was with big ambitions and grand gestures that Cloud9 was rebranded as the "Colossus" last year.
The new General Manager Henry "HenryG" Greer became the first leading GM to fully disclose the wage and transfer fee of the players, that he brought into the new lineup.
- I'm aware there is a certain level of expectation going forward now. Failure simply isn't an option, the GM said back in September 2020.
Since then Cloud9 has moved to Europe, where the results have been below expectations with the culmination last night with the 2-1 loss to the unknown Bulgarian VOYVODA squad in the closed qualifiers for DreamHack Masters Spring. A loss that ignited the criticism of the new Cloud9 project again.
Henry "HenryG" Greer commented on the critique on Twitter.
The next events for the Cloud9 roster are Snow Sweet Snow 2 and ESL Pro League Season 13.
