Cloud9 ends G2´s winning streak

G2´s winning streak is officially over. Cloud9 ended the run at 13 LAN wins in a row, which is the seventh-highest win streak of all time. The Russian team dominated the mixed European roster in a 2-0 series. With sh1ro playing lights out, G2 stood no chance against the Russian AWPer.

Cloud9 secured Vertigo in dominant fashion 16-6. A controlled game for Cloud9 left G2 shaking going into the second map. Inferno has been G2´s rock and safe pick in recent months. However, Cloud9 showed that it is possible to take down the IEM Katowice 2023 champions on Inferno.
