Going undefeated for a long period of time on LAN is an incredible achievement for any CS:GO team. Only a few teams have ever managed to reach a winning streak of ten. But who were they, and how did they manage to rule the CS:GO world at their time? We have taken a closer look at the different teams.

Year: 2012-2013
Win streak: 60-match winning streak
Roster: f0rest, Get_RiGhT, friberg, Fifflaren, and xizt.
Notable winnings/trophies:
You can't talk about winning streaks without mentioning the 2012-2013 Ninjas in Pyjamas. The squad with f0rest, Get_RiGhT, friberg, Fifflaren, and xizt dominated the Counterstrike scene for a little over a year where they managed to go unbeaten in 60 matches at LAN events. Ninjas in Pyjamas lost their 60-match winning streak against their Swedish rivals Fnatic back at DreamHack Bucharest 2013.
2. Team Liquid 
Year: 2019
Win streak: 23 match winning streak
Roster: Nitr0, NAF, EliGE, Stewie2k, and Twistzz.
Notable winnings/trophies: IEM Sydney 2019, IEM Chicago 2019, BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles 2019, ESL One Cologne 2019, ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019.
In 2018 Liquid was a tragic story of the little brother to Astralis but in 2019 the team was almost regarded as the world’s best. Since the loss at IEM Katowice Major, the squad broke off four big event tournament wins and reached the grand finals of three more. The team looked almost unstoppable back in 2019. It's fair to say that Team Liquid where the only team who could compete against the 2018-2019 Astralis roster. Liquid lost its winning streak back in 2019 when it fell short against NRG at the StarLadder Major Berlin 2019.
3. Astralis 
Year: 2018-2019
Win streak: 17-match winning streak
Roster: Xyp9x, dupreeh, gla1ve, Device, and Magisk.
Notable winnings/trophies: FACEIT major 2018, IEM Chicago 2018, ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018, IEM Katowice 2019, StarLadder Major Berlin 2019, IEM Beijing 2019, BLAST Pro Series Global Finals.
With eight big event trophies in a single calendar year, some would argue that the 2018-2019 Astralis roster is the best team to ever play the game. The way they played and how they controlled matches was unseen. Their rivals in Team Liquid were the team to end their 17-match winning streak. During the iBUYPOWER Masters 2019, the Danes fell short against the world's second-best.
4. luminosity 
Year: 2016
Win streak: 15-match winning streak
Roster: FalleN, fer, coldzera, fnx, and TACO.
Notable winnings/trophies: DreamHack Austin 2016, ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals, MLG Columbus 2016.
Luminosity was the first team in North America ever to win a major. The Brazilian team stood tall against Natus Vincere in the Grand final of the MLG Columbus 2016 Major. A Major that featured $1.000.000 in the prize pool. The Brazilian super team fell short against G2 during the ECS Season 1 Final which caused the winning streak to come to an end.
5. Natus Vincere 
Year: 2021
Win streak: 15-match winning streak
Roster: s1mple, electroNic, b1t, Perfecto, and Boombl4.
Notable winnings/trophies: IEM Cologne 2021, PGL Major Stockholm 2021, BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021, BLAST World Final 2021.
Natus Vincere dominated the CounterStrike scene back in 2021. With notable tournament wins such as the PGL Major in Stockholm 2021 and BLAST World Final 2021, Natus Vincere wrote itself into the history books as one of the best teams to ever play the game. Natus Vincere couldn't extend their win streak as they fell short against their Russian rivals in Gambit back in October 2021.
5. G2 
Year: 2022-2023
Win streak: 13-match winning streak
Roster: m0NESY, NiKo, huNter-, HooXi, and jks.
Notable winnings/trophies: Blast Premier World Final 2022, IEM Katowice 2023.
Since the BLAST World Finals 2022, G2 has been unstoppable. Most recently G2 won the prestige full IEM Katowice 2023 trophy without losing a match. The 13-match winning streak for G2 came to an end after they lost to Cloud9 in the ESL Pro League Season 17. With sh1ro playing lights out, G2 stood no chance against the Russian roster.
6. Team Envy 
Year: 2015
Win streak: 11-match winning streak
Roster: kennyS, Happy, apEX, kioShiMa, and NBK-.
Notable winnings/trophies: DreamHack Open London 2015, IEM Gamescom 2015, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015.
After the arrival of apEX and kennyS, Team Envy settled their name as a top team in the world of Counter-Strike back in 2015 when they won the seventh Major over Natus Vincere in a thriller final. After a short stint as the world's best, Team Envy saw themselves go on an 11-match winning streak at LAN events. The 11-match winning streak, unfortunately, ended after a close match against Fnatic back in 2015 in the Grand Final of IEM Cologne.
