The Brazilian panthers advance to Fall Finals after a comeback victory
The Brazilians took down Liquid 2-1 in convincing style in the final match in BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.
FURIA secured the first of two tickets for the prominent BLAST Premier Fall event by defeating Liquid 2-1. The Brazilian overcame a defeat on the first map and reverses swept the Liquid team 2-1.

Going into the match, Liquid possessed a striking 85.7%-win percentage on Overpass over the last 3 months. The North American team proved their dominance on the map by a strong T-sided first half setting the score at 10-5, before the shift. However, FURIA and a well-playing VINI came back through some good bomb executes, equalizing the match at 13-13. Liquid’s Canadian star Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken saved Liquid for the upset by winning a vital 1v2 clutch and eventually securing a 16-13 victory.

FURIA came out on Inferno extremely aggressive, giving Liquid no chance to live. The Brazilians dominated the entire map, and could with ease secure a 16-6 victory.

FURIA didn’t look back after their confident victory on Inferno. The Brazilians continued their strong showing by setting up an early 7-1 lead on the T-side, eventually ending up with a 9-6 halftime score. Yuri “yuurih” Santos showed up huge in the second half and led FURIA to a 16-9 victory through a 12-4 K/D, 1.40 CT-side.
