Heroic and OG advance to semi-finals at BLAST
OG took care of Complexity in swift fashion, while Heroic had to work a little harder vs Dignitas
The last two matches of the BLAST schedule today was: Heroic vs. Dignitas, and Complexity vs. OG. The prize was a semi-final spot in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown and a chance to get one of the last two remaining spots at the BLAST Premier Fall Final. The other six spots have already been filled by Na'Vi, NIP, Vitality, FaZe, Astralis and BIG.
The first matchup between Heroic and Dignitas was a very close affair, with great team performances from both squads. Though Heroic took the victory 2-0, Dignitas actually had map point on Nuke before being forced into overtime, and eventually defeat.
The second matchup featuring Complexity was a different story on the other hand. Complexity had picked Mirage as their map, and still, OG completely fooled them and cleaned house; 16-0. "mantuu" and "valde" had standout performances with ratings of 2.09 and 1.91. On Complexity's side "blameF" was the only one who managed a rating above 1.0 through the series.
Tomorrow the two last quarter-finals will be played in what is sure to be two great matchups. It's MAD Lions vs. G2 at 3:30 pm, and Liquid vs. Virtus.pro at 6:30 pm.
