paiN sends OG to Last Chance Stage
A slim victory secures paiN another win at EPL S17.
paiN secured their second win at the event after winning 2-1 over OG in a Group C lower bracket semi-final. The losing team goes to Group C Last Chance Stage. The Brazilian roster took an important win over OG on Vertigo. A great T-side from paiN was enough for them to close out the game in the end. Despite the map getting close towards the end, paiN saw themselves go up 1-0 in the series against OG.
Overpass was up next. paiN won the pistol rounds once again. However, OG was quick to bounce back and secure a decent half. paiN won the CT side 8-7. However, switching to the CT side, OG dominated the Brazilian roster winning nine rounds in a row to close out the map 16-8.
Inferno came out as the last map of the series. A close encounter between the two teams ended up in a paiN victory. The Brazillian team got nine rounds on the weaker T side. A nice T side was enough for paiN to close out things 16-14.
