Australian team withdraw from ESL Pro League S14
Renegades will not be able to travel to Europe to compete at the $750.000 tournament.
Renegades will not compete at the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 14 this season, owing to the current travel restrictions caused by Covid-19, ESL confirms on Twitter. The Aussies will therefore lose the opportunity to win the massive $175.000 1st prize.
- We tried everything we could but unfortunately, the global pandemic created an impossible travel situation for us in Australia. Thank you ESL for all the support in trying to make it happen, hopefully, we'll be back over soon, Renegades writes on their Twitter.
Renegades’ Pro League spot will be vacated by the Russians from forZe, who slide in Group B and will take on the likes of G2, Virtus.pro and Complexity. The prestigious event is set to start on the 16th of August, while Group B kicks off five days later.
