Astralis paralyzes mousesports and advances to playoffs
In a great game of Counter-Strike, Astralis beat mousesports at IEM Beijing-Haidian.
The match started at mousesports map pick, Dust2. Seeing the match unfold, that pick was a mistake.
Astralis took control of the action from the get-go. Gla1ve and dupreeh toyed with the mousesports players, who never were in contention of winning the map. Astralis won Dust2 with 16-5, while dupreeh had the time of his life.
On Nuke mousesports got a much better start. Karrigan took control of the server leading his team to a 5-0 lead. Slowly but steadily Astralis fought their way back into the game. Nuke has been a map favorite for the Danes for a long time, and though mousesports put up a good fight, they could not do anything about the timing and precision that Astralis executed time and time again.
Gla1ve continued his performance from Dust2 and when needed the rest of the Astralis roster made plays, that turned the round in favor of the Danes.
But then this happened.
ChrisJ stole the show and the map with it. An incredible 1 vs 4 clutch to force the match to Inferno.
Quickly Astralis found the "Dust2-vibes" and started to dominate the server again. This time it was Xyp9x, Magisk, and device, who all produced amazing numbers during Astralis' CT-side. The Danes ran away with the match leading 14-1 at the break!
It ended with a humiliating 16-3 victory on Inferno. Astralis is ready for the playoffs at IEM Beijing-Haidian, while mousesports will face either North or G2 on Monday.
