Abu Dhabi to host BLAST Premier World Final
The Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi will be the setting for the last tournament of the year.
The announcement was made today on Twitter.
BLAST Premier World Final is the last tournament of the year, where the winners of BLAST Spring Finals (NAVI), BLAST Fall Finals, PGL Antwerp (FaZE), IEM Rio Major, ESL Pro League Season 15 (FaZe) +16, and the top two teams on the World Final Leaderboard will face each other for a total prize pool of $1.000.000. Since FaZe has won both the ESL Pro League Season 15 and the PGL Antwerp Major, there will be a spot for a third team on the World Final Leaderboard.
At this moment FaZe and Natus Vincere are the only teams certain to take part in the event. ENCE, Team Vitality, and G2 Esports are currently the highest-ranked teams besides FaZe and NAVI on the leaderboard.
In a press release, BLAST also announce that a three-year deal has been made with ADGaming "to bring its prestigious global esports tournament to Abu Dhabi later this year as part of a three-year partnership, which hopes to set the esports world alight in the Middle East."
BLAST Premier World Final will take place from December 14-18.
