FaZe was dealt the killing blow by the underdogs from Kosovo, Bad News Eagles, who not just handed FaZe the worst placement of any defending Major champion squad, but also shocked the entire Counter-Strike world by eliminating one of the best teams in the world without an organization behind them.
IEM Rio Major 2022 was a huge failure for FaZe, considering the fact that karrigan and company had already won the three biggest tournaments so far this year. What went wrong for FaZe?
