NAVI played NIP in the last game of the group stage in ESL Pro League Season 16, resulting in a NIP 2-1 over NAVI.
NIP managed to win 2-1 over NAVI despite needing a 2-0 victory to go through to the ESL Pro League Season 16 Playoffs.
NIP picked Inferno as the first map going into the match against NAVI. The Swedish team played an imposing T side getting into the half with an 11-4 scoreline. The well-played first half resulted in a 16-8 NIP win on Inferno. NAVI picked the second map of the game "Mirage". NAVI repeated what NIP did in the first game by winning the T-side 10-5 which resulted in a 16-9 victory on Mirage for NAVI.
The deciding map was Overpass, leading to a more intense map where NIP pushed the gas pedal on the T-side. The well-played T-side from NIP ended up being the deciding factor winning 16-11 after regulation.
